After more than 16 years of dedicated service, our amazing colleague, Laura, is retiring from Millcreek Gardens. Friday, August 30th will be Laura’s last day.
Laura joined us in 2008, bringing with her a wealth of experience from the interiorscape, floral, commercial holiday decorating, and garden center fields. She quickly found her home at Millcreek as the Section Grower of Herbs, where she has been delivering high-quality products to our customers. Her dedication to excellence has been clear in all aspects of her work, and her contributions to our herb department have been invaluable.
Not only has Laura been instrumental in growing our beautiful herbs—a goal and passion of our founder, Lynda Pealer—but she has also been a mentor to many. She has a love for training and raising up young team members, helping them start their careers at Millcreek with a strong foundation. Laura’s dedication to quality has led her to produce detailed training guides and post-season recaps, ensuring that her team consistently delivers the best possible products year after year.
Beyond her work with herbs, Laura has been an active member of our social committee, always bringing fun ideas for activities and events that have brought our team closer together. Her creativity and enthusiasm will be greatly missed.
Outside of work, Laura enjoys tending to her herb, kitchen, and perennial gardens, bringing her harvests to the family table. She is also a proud mother to her three children, Emily, Erik, and Luke, and together with her husband, Troy, they treasure their time by the shores of Lake Erie.
Join us in celebrating Laura’s impressive career and wishing her the best in her well-earned retirement. While we will miss her at Millcreek, we’re excited for her as she starts this new chapter.
Thank you, Laura, for your years of hard work, dedication, and the positive impact you’ve made on all of us.
