Kate joined Millcreek as a Seasonal Production worker in the Spring of 2021. During her first season at Millcreek, Kate discovered her passion for working with plants. When she wasn’t potting in Production, you could find her smiling face helping out throughout the Nursery. In 2022, Kate joined Millcreek full-time as Production Coordinator where she assisted the Production Director with the transplanting of our many beautiful plants. When she wasn’t potting, Kate enjoyed cleaning and pruning our flowering plants in the sunshine. In the Fall of 2022, Kate transitioned to the role of Growing Coordinator where her daily activities support the work of the Assistant Grower and Section Grower in our Annual and Shrub Department in growing the best plants possible. In our peak shipping season, Kate leads a pulling team and selects the best plants possible to ship to our customers!

Before she came to Millcreek, Kate achieved an Associate’s Degree in Religion and Philosophy from Bethel University and held worked in hospitality until she discovered her love of working outdoors. In her free time, Kate enjoys hiking, camping and kayaking with her husband, Hunter. Kate also dreams of traveling to every continent and learning about the flora and fauna in each.
